De examens komen steeds dichter bij … Om jullie alvast goed voor te bereiden is hier alvast het grote GUSO-examen! (geen schrik, t is met meerkeuze)
Vraag 1: Stiptheid
Zoals jullie allemaal weten is het dinsdag ons try-out concert in de Christus Koning kerk. Er wordt stipt om 19u30 aangevat met volgende planning:
- Tchaikovsky passages 4, 3, 2 en 1 (40 minuten)
- Bruch passages met solisten (25 minuten)
- Khovanthine passages (10 minuten)
Wanneer zal je aankomen in de Christus Koning kerk en wanneer zit je op je stoel?
- a) Ik ben er al sinds 14u om te helpen met team logistiek, maar 5 min voor start zit ik speelklaar op mijn stoel
- b) Om 19u15 ben ik aanwezig in de kerk, ik zit speelklaar op mijn stoel om 19u25.
- c) Er is geen andere optie, dus het wordt a of b
- d) Een van bovenstaande
De bovenstaande planning geldt ook telkens voor de raccord: 1/05+2/05 17u30 – 12/05 16u30
Vraag 2: Leesvaardigheid
Om de concerten vlot te doen verlopen hebben we voor jullie een concertbrief opgesteld. Hierin staat alles wat jullie moeten weten over het verloop van de concerten. Of jullie slagen voor deze vraag wordt na de concerten beoordeeld. Om jullie alvast op weg te helpen hier de hoofdpunten:
- Dresscode: ZWART (voor pakdragers: zwarte blazer met WIT hemd)
- uur van aanvang
- try-out 30/04 – 19u30
- raccord 1&2/05 – 17u30
- raccord 12/05 – 16u30
Vraag 3: Logistiek
Zoals bij ieder concert komt ook hier ook heel wat logistieke planning aan te pas. Om Victor en Brechje alvast een handje te helpen vult iedereen minstens één keer (en liefst zo vaak mogelijk) hun naam in op DIT hulpjesblad.
Hoe vaak vulde je je naam in?
- a) Slechts één keer, maar ik zal met volle overtuiging en heel veel energie klaar staan om te helpen
- b) Twee of drie keer. Brechje en Victor zijn zo goed bezig dat ik ze zoveel mogelijk wil steunen
- c) Elke dag. Ik wil dat de concerten fantastisch zijn en dit is een ideale manier om die droom realiteit te maken
Vraag 4: Economie
Als je op DIT document ziet staan dat je nog 280 euro aan schulden open hebt staan, wanneer betaal je dan die schulden?
- a) nu meteen, sorry Vianney het spijt me héééél erg dat ik het zo lang heb uitgesteld
- b) nu meteen, het zal nooit meer gebeuren. Vanaf nu zal ik mijn leven beteren en altijd op tijd betalen
- c) nu meteen, amai ik was het helemaal vergeten (ondanks de duizenden waarschuwingen van Vianney)
Pas op! dit is een strikvraag! Sinds kort werden ook de barschulden toegevoegd aan het document, dus juich niet te vroeg!
Vraag 5: Sociale wetenschappen
Om een concert vlot te laten verlopen hebben we altijd enkele helpende handen nodig die voor of na het concert aan de bar of de kassa staan. In ruil mogen ze gratis naar het concert komen.
Als je nog mensen kent die nog niets te doen hebben om 1 mei en/of graag naar ons concert willen komen, wat zeg je dan tegen hen?
- a) Hey jij daar! Ik heb de perfecte deal! Je komt om 1 mei helpen bij het concert en je mag gratis luisteren.
- b) Hey schat, voor die date op 1 mei … Als je komt helpen op het concert kunnen we achteraf nog een drankje doen.
- c) Hey mama, aangezien je nog geen ticketje hebt gekocht voor 1 mei .. kom je niet gewoon als hulpje? Dan moet je zelfs geen ticketje kopen
Vraag 6: PR
Hoeveel tickets verkocht jij al???
- a) Ik heb er al zeker 10 verkocht, maar er zullen er nog veel volgen!
- b) Mijn hele straat komt kijken!
- c) Ik heb zelfstandig een volledige zaal gevuld!
Als je nog geen enkel van deze opties kan aanduiden is het teken dat je nog niet genoeg tickets verkocht hebt!
Vraag 7: ICT
De tickets van de concertgangers worden zoals altijd gescand met de Wicket scanner app. Om te zorgen dat ons publiek binnen kan, hebben we dus een aantal Android GSM’s nodig waarop deze app geïnstalleerd staat.
Heb je de app al geïnstalleerd?
- a) JA! Hij staat er nog op van vorig semester! Ik stuur meteen naar Kaat dat mijn GSM beschikbaar is.
- b) Ik had het nog niet staan, maar ga dat meteen doen. Ik stuur ook meteen naar Kaat dat mijn GSM beschikbaar zal zijn.
- c) nee, ik geef graag veel geld voor een merknaam en heb dus een IPhone
Vraag 8: sfeer en gezelligheid
Op woensdag 8 mei zal er geen repetitie zijn, maar in de plaats organiseert team animatie een super leuke avond met onder andere karaoke, zuipbeker, drankspelletjes en ikea-shotjes!
Zal je erbij zijn?
- a) Tuurlijk!
- b) Duh, dat wordt super leuk!
- c) Woensdag avond is altijd GUSO avond!

Dearest GUSO members,
The exams are getting closer and closer… To prepare you well in advance, here’s the big GUSO exam! (don’t worry, it’s multiple choice)
Question 1: Punctuality
As you all know, our try-out concert in the Christus Koning church is on Tuesday. We’ll start promptly at 7:30 PM with the following schedule:
- Tchaikovsky passages 4, 3, 2, and 1 (40 minutes)
- Bruch passages with soloists (25 minutes)
- Khovanthine passages (10 minutes)
When will you arrive at the Christus Koning church and when will you be seated?
- a) I’ve been there since 2 PM to help with logistics, but I’ll be seated and ready to play 5 minutes before the start.
- b) I’ll be present at the church by 7:15 PM, seated and ready to play by 7:25 PM.
- c) There’s no other option, so it’s either a or b.
- d) One of the above.

Question 2: Reading Comprehension
To ensure smooth concerts, we’ve prepared a concert letter for you. It contains everything you need to know about the concerts. Your success in this question will be evaluated after the concerts. To help you get started, here are the main points:
- Dress code: BLACK (for suit wearers: black blazer with WHITE shirt)
- Start time
- try-out 30/04 – 7:30 PM
- raccord 1&2/05 – 5:30 PM
- raccord 12/05 – 4:30 PM
Question 3: Logistics
As with every concert, a lot of logistical planning is required. To help Victor and Brechje, everyone should fill in their name at least once (and preferably as many times as possible) on THIS helpers sheet.
How many times did you fill in your name?
- a) Only once, but I’ll be ready to help with full conviction and lots of energy.
- b) Two or three times. Brechje and Victor are doing so well that I want to support them as much as possible.
- c) Every day. I want the concerts to be fantastic, and this is an ideal way to make that dream a reality.
Question 4: Economics
If you see on THIS document that you still have 280 euros in debts outstanding, when will you pay off those debts?
- a) Right now, sorry Vianney, I apologize profusely for delaying it for so long.
- b) Right now, it will never happen again. From now on, I’ll improve my life and always pay on time.

Question 5: Social Sciences
To ensure smooth concerts, we always need some helping hands to work at the bar or the ticket booth before or after the concert. In exchange, they get free entry to the concert.
If you know people who have nothing to do on May 1st and/or would like to come to our concert, what do you say to them?
- a) Hey you there! I have the perfect deal! You come help at the concert on May 1st and you can listen to it for free.
- b) Hey darling, for that date on May 1st… If you come help at the concert, we can grab a drink afterwards.
- c) Hey mom, since you haven’t bought a ticket for May 1st yet… why don’t you just come as a helper? Then you don’t even have to buy a ticket.
Question 6: PR
How many tickets have you sold already???
- a) I’ve already sold at least 10, but there will be many more to come!
- b) My whole street is coming to watch!
- c) I’ve independently filled an entire hall!
Question 7: ICT
The tickets of the concert-goers are, as always, scanned with the Wicket scanner app. To ensure that our audience can enter, we need some Android smartphones with this app installed.

Question 8: Atmosphere and Coziness
