BAM, Ons eerste concert zit er al op! Van vogelgefluit in het verre noorden over humoristisch pianospel naar extatische dansen… het GUSO heeft nog maar eens haar veelzijdigheid bewezen! Bovendien zat de focus bij iedereen goed (behalve dan bij Wannes, die het perfecte moment heeft uitgekozen om zijn partituren te laten vallen :)), dus good job allemaal!!!

Merci aan jullie allemaal natuurlijk om zo geweldig te spelen gisteren, maar natuurlijk ook een dikke merci aan alle mensen die team logistiek geholpen hebben met het in- en uitladen, de zaal terug goed te zetten… De opkuis is heel vlot verlopen gisteren en dat is zeker door jullie inzet! Hopelijk zijn jullie voor het concert in de Bijloke even bereid om mee te helpen opruimen!
D-Day
Van de Christus Koningkerk over naar de volgende locatie: woensdag landen we met het orkest in de Bijloke… Om goed voorbereid aan het concert te beginnen, zal er dus opnieuw een raccord zijn om 17u30 om nog wat plaatsen te oefenen die gisteren wat de mist zijn ingegaan. Zorg dus allemaal dat jullie op tijd ter plekke zijn en dat jullie je concertkleren al aanhebben!
Na het concert in de Bijloke zal er ook weer een afterparty zijn, deze keer in de Lambert! Het is vlakbij, dus volg gewoon de rest van de groep en dan kom je er wel 😉 Als je dus gezellig nog iets wil drinken na het concert of de beentjes eens goed wil losgooien op foute schijven, dan moet je zeker op de afterparty zijn! (Degenen die erbij waren in de Pi-nuts gisteren zullen wel beamen dat de afterparties van het GUSO altijd een schot in de roos zijn!!!)
Reclame reclame en nog eens reclame!
Natuurlijk willen we allemaal graag voor volle zalen spelen, maar dat is helaas nog niet het geval voor ons concert volgende week…. Maak de komende dagen dus nog veel reclame (via Facebook, maar ook mond-tot-mondreclame werkt heel goed!) en moedig al je vrienden aan om te komen luisteren naar ons prachtig programma!!!
Repetitie 12/12
Omdat je nooit genoeg kan krijgen van het GUSO (geef toe), zal er op woensdag 12 december nog een extra repetitie doorgaan in de Therminal! Aangezien we maar op 16 december in de Singel spelen en er anders te veel tijd ligt tussen de concerten, zullen we die repetitie echt wel nodig hebben. Laat Marieke dus zeker iets weten als je er die avond niet kan zijn of later zal zijn door omstandigheden. Gewoon een mailtje sturen naar vice@guso.be , het klinkt waarschijnlijk al afgezaagd in jullie oren…
Voor het concert in de Singel (16/12) zullen we ons met de bus verplaatsen. Als je niet mee met de bus vertrekt vanuit Gent, laat Marieke dan zeker iets weten, zodat we niet onnodig op jou moeten wachten!
Stageschulden betalen…
Ai ai ai, helaas heb ik ook wat slecht nieuws… Er zijn nog altijd 19 mensen die hun stageschulden niet hebben betaald… Ik heb Judith na het concert betrapt toen ze alleen een kratje wijn aan het drinken was, dus ik denk dat ze er echt slecht aan toe is… BETALEN is dus de boodschap: schrijf je schulden over naar BE30 7370 1925 1311 en help Judith er terug bovenop!! #jesuisju
Voor de wanbetalers onder jullie, ik heb gehoord dat Judith nog een geheim wapen heeft om jullie allemaal zo snel mogelijk te doen betalen, dus pas maar op…

BAM, we already played our first concert! From whistling birds over humorous piano playing to ecstatic dancing … GUSO has once again proven its versatility! Moreover, the focus was on everyone (except for Wannes, who has chosen the perfect moment to drop his music scores :)), so well done all of you!!!

Thanks to all of you, of course to play so great yesterday, but also a big thank you to all the people who helped team logistics with loading and unloading! The clean-up went very smoothly yesterday and that is certainly because of your commitment! Hopefully you are ready to help with the concert in the Bijloke!
D-Day
From the Christus Koning Church to the next location: Wednesday we land with the orchestra in the Bijloke … To start well prepared for the concert, there will be a raccord again at 5:30 pm to practice some places that were not good enough yesterday. So make sure that you are on time and that you are already wearing your concert clothes!
After the concert in the Bijloke there will also be an afterparty, this time in the Lambert! It is close by, so just follow the rest of the group and then you’ll get there;) If you want to drink something after the concert or want to dance on the best music, then you should definitely be there! (Those who were there in the Pi-nuts yesterday will confirm that the afterparties of the GUSO are always a great success!)
Advertising, advertising and once again advertising!
Of course we all want to play for full concert halls, but unfortunately that is not yet the case for our concert next week …. Make a lot of advertising in the upcoming days (via Facebook, but also tell people that we’re playing a concert! ) and encourage all your friends to come and listen to our program !!!
Rehearsal 12th of December
Because you can never get enough of the GUSO (please admit), there will be an extra rehearsal in the Therminal on Wednesday December 12th! Since we only play in the Singel on December 16th and there is too much time between the concerts, we will really need that rehearsal. So let Marieke know if you can’t be there or will be later due to circumstances. Just send an email to vice@guso.be !
For the concert in the Singel (16/12) we will travel by bus. If you don’t take the bus from Ghent, please let Marieke know, so that we don’t have to wait unnecessarily for you!
Paying rehearsal weekend debts…
Unfortunately I also have some bad news … There are still 19 people who haven’t paid their rehearsal weekend debts … I caught Judith after the concert when she was drinking on her own a bottle of wine, so I think that she is really close to a depression … PAYING is the message: transfer your debts to BE30 7370 1925 1311 and help Judith to get back on top !! #jesuisjudith
